Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and financial statements on relevant accounting software (Xero, QB, Sage etc.)
Manage accounts payable and receivable
Prepare and process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions
Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts
Prepare and file VAT returns
Provide support to our team of accountants, as needed
Ensure compliance with UK accounting regulations and legislation
Maintain confidential financial information
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a bookkeeping role
Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles
Strong knowledge of UK accounting regulations and legislation
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office
Demonstratable experience of accounting software (Xero, QB, Sage etc.)
AAT or equivalent qualification is a plus.
